INTERVIEW: METH TIL BLIND
What started out as a joke to his friends on meth, has now led to him being an internationally recognised tattoo artist. Meth Till Blind is a Bali-based tattoo artist, surfer, and interesting human. He accidentally fell into tattooing by working at a studio, and then deciding to try it out one day. His signature style - self-described as ‘ignorant’ - has led to clients flying in from all over the world for him to mark their skin.
What's your story?
I was using the name “Meth till blind” just to tease my friends that were on meth, and somehow got onto it! (the name) haha!
Before I started tattooing, I was a studio manager, surrounded by lots of amazing friends and tattoo artists, and somehow I got into tattooing myself.
If you weren't an artist, what would you be doing?
Umm.. if I wasn’t an artist I would probably be doing my old job, teaching kids surfing and skating, or probably selling meth haha.
If you had to describe your style?
‘Ignorant’ - but trying to push it more.

Best thing about your job?
I get to do the things that I love and are passionate about, I
feel so grateful that I can mark people’s skin.
Sex and art are the same thing - true or false?
Sex and art, I guess they’re on the grey area, might be the same, depends on the context and form I guess? Dunno, tricky.
Last movie you watched?
Probably ‘Euro Trip’ - it’s been fifteen years since I first watched it.
